DIY Versa bag is our carefully selected vacuum bagging material
allowing the user a versatile system capeable of completing the majority of
composite projects that small composites businesses down the home
enthusiast will undertake. We
selected this bag becasue of its tactile feeling in the hand, its
manouverability on the job helping it to be postioned with ease and avoid
bridging and its fantastic price point.
The bag itself is suitable for use in wetlay projects, infusion
projects and for oven and autoclave cure projects of pre-pregs such as the
DIY HQPP range or similar spec pre-pregs giving it a fanatsic range of
capeable uses which helps the end user avoid buying niche bagging solutions
for a single job. Versa bag's ceiling temperature for oven and autoclave
use is 170 degrees.
DIY Versa bag works well with most epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester
To help in providing our customers with the
right sized bag for the job to avoid users having to cut down larger bags
and add more joins / seals which can event in vacuum loss we off 3 widths
of bag. These can purchased in our small pack size (15m2 per pack) or
larger pack size which are 75 linear metres of the roll of your choice. We
apply the a fixed price per square metre for the small pack size and a
reduced voume price per square metre for the larger pack size.
The bag is supplied as a lay flat tube meaning that when cut from the
roll you only need to seal each end of what you have cut to create a bag.
This also means that for example if you have a role width of 1m and you cut
a piece from the roll 1m in length this would give you a lay flat tube with
a surface area of 2m2.
