DIY Composites High temp epoxy tooling system has been added to our line up to open up the world of pre-preg carbon fibre component manufacture to the well equipped home enthusiast or small business alike. This makes great moulds for use at cure temps of upto 100 degree Celsius. This product is perfect for curing our DIY HQPP line up of oven cure pre-pregs to make stunning components. The tooling system itself cures at room temperature (21-25 Celsius) making mould making as straight forward as possible and delivers not only a strong mould but also excellent dimensional stability under temperature. 

Our carefully selected system utilises
DIY HT150GC, an extremely robust and high quality aluminium filled epoxy gel coat system which can be polished to stunning shine. This is then backed with DIY HT150 CC a specifically developed epoxy coupling coat resin that ensures a great bond between gel and main re-enforcement. The main re-enforcement comes in the form of DIY HT170 high temperature epoxy laminating resin system which is used in conjunction with powder bound chop strand matting (CSM) to build up mould thickness.

This is a proven and trialled system that can yield fantastic results. Curing of the tooling system can all be done at ambient temperature although to achieve higher service temperatures with the final mould a post cure would be required.
