DIY HQDC 200gsm 3k Carbon Fibre Twill Weave is a high quality 2x2 Twill weave carbon fibre cloth proudly made here in the UK. The material is extremely drapleable and conforms well over curved surfaces and is easy to cut. Its looser weave when compared to plain weave makes it slightly trickier to handle without distorting the weave pattern so care should be taken or if you project has more simple geometry try DIY HQDC 200gsm  3k Carbon Fibre Twill Weave Veil Backed. 

The material is sold by the square metre. DIY Composites has gone to great lengths to ensure all of its materials are sold at competitve prices. Following your order the material will be cut from a roll to you ordered square meterage. The roll width is 1.2m which means if you order 1sqm you will receive a piece of carbon 1.2m in width and 0.8m in length. Volume based discounts begin at order of 6sqm or more and can be seen in the pricing area.

Processing
This  material has been sucessfully processed with excellent results by both the wet lay process and the inusion process and is generally used as the cosmetic surface ply. This cloth is also an extremly popular choice for carbon fibre skinning projects due to its fantastic drapeability. It can be used to add re-enforcement however other materials such as DIY HQDC 650g 12k Twill Weave provide a more economic way to add bulk to your project / component. 

Resins
DIY HQDC 200gsm is compatible with and has yielded great results when used with the DIY IN24 Infusion Resin, DIY SK75 Skinning Resin, DIY LR76 General Laminating Resin and DIY RC78 Rapid cure system. It can also be processed with vinyl ester and polyester resins. Polyester resins should only be used with this material for cosmetic purposes.
